everyone seems brilliant
Everyone on the internet seems brilliant. Comparison becomes automatic. The gurus claim to have the formula for an extraordinary life. Tech tutorial creators make everything look simple, as if complexity were a myth.
Maybe it feels that way because YouTube is what I consume most—I don’t use other social networks. On YouTube, everything is scripted. Polished. Optimized. Often, people speak with conviction about things they barely understand or don’t even truly believe in.
I have to admit: this blog may be an attempt to appear—or perhaps to become, I’m not entirely sure—more intelligent than I really am.
Even so, I hope it creates some kind of butterfly effect.
